What if we could remember it all?

Everything we are as humans lies within one organ capable of fascinating processes. The human brain is a complex structure that may never fully be understood. As the control center of our body, the brain has one quality without which it would be almost impossible to live a complete life. That function is storing and retrieving memories. Though we don’t have the capacity to store everything that we experience, a lot of our lives are built on memories. Whether it be remembering how to drive a car, or remembering our family, memories plays a crucial role in our lives. Some people who have suffered traumas or have diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cannot store memories or cannot retrieve them. But healthy or not, the idea of a memory-enhancing drug could have huge implications in our everyday life. Read the rest of this entry »
